My First Liposonix Experience

Liposonix Experience at EHA Clinic

Starting from last year, I've been doing a lot research and personally tried out a few non-invasive fat reduction treatments to tackle my MAJOR problem areas and i personally find that Liposonix is the most effective one among all!!

After send queries to a number of Asethetic Clinics, I decided to visit Dr. Elias Tam at EHA Clinic for a consultation. The consultation feels like chatting with a close friend, sharing my main concerns and getting advice from him, I simply love his personality!

I have to declare that i'm not doing a Sponsored Review, all treatments are fully paid by myself ..

I told Dr Elias that I really hate my big thighs and I would like to get rid of the cellulite too. So he suggested to do a non-invasive fat reduction procedure - Liposonix on my back thigh.



What is Liposonix?




The Liposonix® system is a safe, non-surgical and non-invasive. A revolutionary treatment using high-intensity focused ultrasound to treat and eliminate stubborn fat around your waistline (abdomen and love handles) without surgery. Ultrasound energy is used to penerate through the skin layers and into the targeted fat tissue without harming skin or surrounding tissues. It is a Custom ContouringTM for everyone in a single one-hour session!


How does the Liposonix procedure work?
The treatment head of the Liposonix system is placed on the area to be treated. High-intensity ultrasound energy focuses on the targeted fat, destroying fat cells beneath the surface layers of the skin. A continuous lesion is created in the targeted fat and the skin layer is not harmed. And where does the fat tissues go? It is removed through the body's natural healing and elimination process, leaving you with a thinner, more contoured waistline.


How long does it take?
As advertised, it only took me slightly more than an hour for the treatment to complete for the 7 squares on both back thighs and another 30 mins for prep, measurement, photo taking. I felt that the whole treatment just went by while i'm chatting with Dr. Elias and his nurse.


Will Pain Killer be given Before the treatment?The clinic does offer Pain Killer and it's actually your choice. For me? Absolutely! I opt for it.


What does it feel like, does the treatment hurt?During treatment, you may experience discomfort, pain, cold, prickling, tingling or warmth. Comfort thresholds vary patient to patient, and practitioners will discuss options for making the experience as pleasant as possible.

The maximum pass is 60 and my treatment was conducted in 30 to 40, I wouldn't say its a very comfortable but I think it is bearable overall. The closest I can describe is this prickling and tingling sensation that’s coming from within of my skin. It also feels a little hot at times. The pain was more intensed as the device head consistently go over the same area a couple of time, I could really feel very uncomfortable. But just think about the amount of money I'm spending, NO PAIN NO GAIN.

What happens after the treatment?

Post treatment, treated area felt a bit sore (muscle ache feeling) and tender to touch for about 2 weeks. I also had a moderate bruising at the whole 7 areas with last for about close to 2 weeks. Apart from that, I could go ahead with my daily go about as usual and there is no special post-care required.

What kind of results can i expect?

With just one treatment, on average, you can expect to lose one clothing size. Studies show an average waistline reduction of at least one inch (2.5cm). Most patients see maximum results in 8 to 12 weeks, though individual results will vary. This is the time it takes for the body to naturally remove the fat cells that were destroyed during treatment. 

Who is a suitable candidate for Liposonix?

A suitable candidate for Liposonix is someone close to his/her ideal size and have stubborn , unwanted fat around the waistline that just can't seem to get rid of with diet and exercise. The best way to know for sure is to schedule a consultation with your physician. There are also some general factors that can help you determine if you are an appropriate candidate. Liposonix has proven to be an inviting alternative for those who are not ready for surgery. 

 

How much does it cost?

Liposonix is generally between SGD 4000 - SGD 7000 depending on individual patients.

It is usually charge per treatment squares (For my case, doctor has measured and marked out 7 areas to be treated and the cost would be $XX times 7 squares).
